Golf near Málaga: green fees at 4 courses to Christmas

Until late November, the cheapest full-price 18 holes at four courses near Málaga city is Lauro's €85, and the dearest is Torrequebrada's, at €129 before 10:24 and €142 from 10:36. From December three of them get cheaper, Lauro to €72, Torrequebrada to €91 and Santana to €95, while Baviera stays at €97 to the end of the year.

These are the visitor rates each club publishes on its own site, as we checked them on 15 October 2026: Torrequebrada in Benalmádena, Lauro in Alhaurín de la Torre and Santana in Mijas, west of the city, and Baviera in Vélez-Málaga, to the east. Rates can change, and the price a club's booking page shows on the day may differ from its tariff.

What does 18 holes cost right now?

For a round between today, Monday 19 October, and 22 November, cheapest first:

CourseTown18 holesBuggy
LauroAlhaurín de la Torre€85; €95 at peak timeextra, €45
BavieraVélez-Málaga€97extra, €38
SantanaMijas€115 at 8:00–10:00; €135 at 10:10–13:50shared, €40
TorrequebradaBenalmádena€129 at 8:00–10:24; €142 from 10:36extra, €45

Lauro is the one with 27 holes: three loops of nine, combined into 18-hole rounds of par 72. Torrequebrada (par 72, opened 1976) and Santana (par 72) are single 18-hole courses, as is Baviera (par 71). Lauro's tariff doesn't say which hours count as peak time.

If two of you ride, Lauro sells two green fees with a buggy for €200 (€220 at peak time). Two €85 green fees and a €45 buggy come to €215, so the pack saves €15.

When do the prices drop?

Each club sets its own seasons, so the drop doesn't come on one day. The morning rate at each, by period:

CourseTo 22 Nov23–29 Nov30 Nov1–6 Dec7–23 DecFrom 26 Dec
Lauro€85€85€85€72€72€72
Torrequebrada€129€105€105€105€91not published
Santana€115€115€95€95€95€110
Baviera€97€97€97€97€97€97

Torrequebrada's is its 8:00–10:24 rate; its midday rate falls from €142 to €119 on 23 November, and to €105 in its winter low season, 7 to 25 December. Santana's is its early bird; from 30 November to 23 December it charges €95 for the early bird, prime time and siesta alike, and its shared buggy drops from €40 to €30. Lauro's mid season, from 1 December, also cuts its buggy pack for two to €175 (€195 at peak time). Baviera's rate is published "to 31/12/2026".

Two catches. Santana goes back up on 26 December, to €110 early and €115 in prime time, and publishes no rate for 24 and 25 December. Torrequebrada's rate for 26 to 31 December isn't clear from its calendar, so check its booking page for those days. Lauro's tariff page gives its season dates without a year.

Is twilight worth it?

All four sell a cheaper afternoon round, but none of their tariffs says what time it starts, so look at the price on the tee sheet:

CourseTwilight to 22 NovIn December
Baviera€56€56
Lauro€70; super twilight €55€60; super twilight €50
Torrequebrada€71€60 to 6 Dec; €53 from 7 Dec
Santana€83, same-day bookings only€70 to 23 Dec; €79 from 26 Dec

Santana's twilight comes with its shared buggy at no charge. None of the four says whether its super twilight or twilight round is 18 holes or as many as the light allows.

The light is the limit. Spanish clocks go back an hour on Sunday 25 October (BOE, Orden PCM/186/2022), and at these courses sunset then falls from about 18:30 that day to between 18:04 and 18:07 on 22 November, and to between 18:01 and 18:04 in mid-December. The app counts a round of 18 as about 4 h 30, so in December an 18-hole start after about 13:30 is unlikely to finish in daylight. Our twilight guide for Marbella works through the same sums week by week.

Is an 8:00 tee time before sunrise?

From 19 November, yes. Santana's early bird and Torrequebrada's morning rate both start at 8:00, and at both courses the sun rises at 8:00 on 19 November, at 8:12 on 1 December and at 8:23 on 15 December. On the shortest days, an 8:00 tee time means teeing off a quarter of an hour or more before sunrise.

Sunrise and sunset here come from the formula the TeesDeSalida app uses for each course's location (a standard approximation, good to about two minutes), not from the clubs. The 8:00 is where each tariff's band begins; whether a club's first tee time on a winter morning is 8:00 is on its tee sheet. If you want the early-bird price without the dark, a 9:00 start is still inside both bands.

How far ahead can you book?

Far enough for Christmas. When we read their tee sheets on 15 October, Torrequebrada opened 118 days ahead, and Lauro, Santana and Baviera at least 120, the furthest we measure. A round on 23 December, 65 days from today, is already open at all four.

Before you book

  1. Pick the week: Torrequebrada is cheaper from 23 November, Santana from 30 November, Lauro from 1 December; Baviera holds €97 to 31 December.
  2. Price the buggy: Baviera's is €38, Lauro's and Torrequebrada's €45, Santana's €40 shared, or €30 from 30 November.
  3. If two of you ride at Lauro, compare its pack with the green fees plus a buggy.
  4. In December, keep 18-hole starts between about 8:30 and 13:30.
  5. See the free tee times and prices at all four, and the rest of the coast, on one screen in the app, then book on the club's own page. More courses on the coast: golf on the Costa del Sol.
